The Worst Shark Attacks Ever!
Despite our fear of sharks, the chances of getting attacked by a shark are 1 in 3 million in comparison with the 1 in 100 chance of getting hit by a car.
Sharks are often described as violent and aggressive beasts that are out to get mankind, but the fact that there has been a mere 60 fatal attacks between 2007 and 2016 betrays this idea.
However, sharks will always remain a deeply embedded fear in us, nobody wants to die by being devoured by one of these gigantic and terrifying creatures.
Here are the worst attacks of these monsters of the deep:
The Dark Period of the Pacific Coast of the United States, 1984
During this part of the 20th century, 50 shark attacks were reported in this area. For example in just 1984 alone, on this coast of the USA, 4 shark attacks took place in and around Santa Cruz, California. This series of attacks started with the violent death of a diver named Omar Conger : he went out to the sea to go diving with a colleague and when he resurfaced, a shark came out of nowhere, attacked him and dragged him to the bottom. His partner tried to help, but he was too late.
