Despite our fear of sharks, the chances of getting attacked by a shark are 1 in 3 million in comparison with the 1 in 100 chance of getting hit by a car.
Sharks are often described as violent and aggressive beasts that are out to get mankind, but the fact that there has been a mere 60 fatal attacks between 2007 and 2016 betrays this idea.
However, sharks will always remain a deeply embedded fear in us, nobody wants to die by being devoured by one of these gigantic and terrifying creatures.

Krishna Thompson Has a Great Punch!
While he was swimming around the island of Grand Bahama, this wall street banker was attacked by a shark who took him by the leg and brought him down to the bottom of the sea. Thompson managed to survive by punching the shark in the nose, and the shark let him go though not without managing to amputate his leg. Ten years after this traumatic event, Thompson now supports the protection of sharks.
