The Austrian National Library, Vienna
This library room which is 80 m long and 20 m high, has spared no expense when it comes to detail, it is beautifully decorated and very ornamental.
It is a part of the Royal palace and although it was built in 1723, it was not accessible to the public until the state took possession of it in 1920.
Now you are free to visit its sprawling and lavish interior, in which you can see for example two different globes that are both 1 m in diameter!
