We might all love making eggs in the morning for breakfast or baking delicious desserts, but few among us know how awesome and versatile those leftover eggshells are. Jam packed with nutrients and natural goodness, there’s actually a whole host of useful and quirky ways to make the most of those shells in your house and garden. So, don’t toss them in the bin just yet, we have 12 ingenious eggzamples (sorry, we had to!) of ways you can reuse your eggshells.

1. To The Compost!

Eggshells are packed with calcium and other trace minerals, which are great for your compost and garden. Throw them straight in or dry out and crush them into a fine powder.

3. Chicken Feed

We know this one might sound a bit messed up...but yep, that same calcium you can feed to your compost is also good for your hens (and their new eggs). Dry the shells and bake for 5 minutes in the oven, then crush them as fine as you can and mix in with their regular feed.
