Jam packed with nutrients and natural goodness, there’s actually a whole host of useful and quirky ways to make the most of those shells in your house and garden. 1. To The Compost!
Eggshells are packed with calcium and other trace minerals, which are great for your compost and garden. Throw them straight in or dry out and crush them into a fine powder.
3. Chicken Feed
We know this one might sound a bit messed up...but yep, that same calcium you can feed to your compost is also good for your hens (and their new eggs). Dry the shells and bake for 5 minutes in the oven, then crush them as fine as you can and mix in with their regular feed.
