Farrah Fawcett (1970s)
American actress Farrah Fawcett was a style icon of her time and still is one today.
Her role in the television series Charlie’s Angels from 1976 to 1977 made her (and her hairstyle) famous.
This picture was taken for an episode of the detective series, and managed to capture the grace and style of the actress.
She was one of the most successful actresses of her time, being nominated four times for the Emmys and six times for the Golden Globes.
What made her a sex-icon and boosted her career was definitely when she posed in a one-piece red swimsuit on a poster sold at six million copies. Women wanted “Farrah’s hair” and men were hypnotized too !
She then had a few roles in movies such as The Apostle in 1997 alongside Robert Duvall.
Farrah Fawcett died of cancer in 2009 at the age of 62.
