Top Gun was one of the biggest movies of the 1980s, igniting the career of several actors such as Tom Cruise, Anthony Edwards and Val Kilmer.
The soundtrack of this movie is also something that we all remember.
The Californian band, Berlin, did an awesome job with their song Take My Breath Away.

Tom Cruise was hand-picked
Cruise is now known for his love of action parts and takes part in doing many of his own stunts.
He’s so well-known for this that The Telegraph wrote an article about him, entitled “12 Times Tom Cruise has Cheated Death.”
Tom Cruise was hesitant at first to take the role of Maverick, but he changed his mind after his first time up in the air with the Blue Angels squadron.
Top Gun producers considered several other big names for the part including Patrick Swayze, John Travolta, and Nicolas Cage.
