Top Gun was one of the biggest movies of the 1980s, igniting the career of several actors such as Tom Cruise, Anthony Edwards and Val Kilmer.

The Californian band, Berlin, did an awesome job with their song Take My Breath Away.
Let’s go back to the 80s with these 12 facts you probably didn’t know about Top Gun:
The $25,000 Route Change
Cinematographer Tony Scott wanted to shoot some of the aircraft backlit by the sun, but the ship had to change course before he could get all his shots in.
He asked the captain to turn the ship back around, but was quickly informed that it would cost a ridiculous $25,000 to alter their route.
Scott apparently wrote a check for the twenty-five grand on the spot, and was then able to get the required shots over a tiny period of five minutes.
Five minutes for twenty-five thousand dollars, can you believe it?
